Although I have not tabulated the final, miserable standings for the prediction contest, there was another contest going on all this time. Sean Carter at Lawpsided sponsored the "Most Valuable Justice" Contest. Participants were invited to choose which Justice would fare the best over the course of the Term, where points were awarded for being on the winning side of a case and writing opinions. More points were awarded for close cases and scores were doubled for "bonus" cases. Participants could change the Justice they had designated once per week.

As reported here, I pulled ahead in this last week, having been at second for a number of months, and won by one point. Thanks, Justice O'Connor (who does not read weblogs).
